Health Factors & Disease
There are many ways that the environment can impact a person's health. Such environmental hazards include water and air pollution, industrial pollution, exposure toxic substances, as well as climate change. For certain countries, the major environmental hazards to health are associated with widespread poverty and severe lack of public infrastructure.

One of the major environmental factors that Germany is facing is global warming. The country has been one of the global leaders in battling carbon emissions. Other environmental issues in Germany include water and air pollution. Ever since the Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2011, air pollution levels in 2012 to 2013 were the highest it has ever been since the 1980s.

One effort to improve health status in Germany involves increasing the efficiency of the use of resources. Another effort that the German government has been working on is the implementation of renewable energy production. In 2017, Germany was able to generate 36% of it's electricity with clean energy generation, according to Azo Clean Tech.
