Impact of COVID-19

Like every other country around the world, Germany took several precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Germany took prevention protocols by increasing the levels of testing, increasing social distancing of no more than 6 feet apart, and wearing face masks. Because of these preventative measures, there has been a major decrease in the number of coronavirus cases.

Germany has contributed over 70 million EUR to WHO and has supported other health partners to fight against the virus. Also, Germany has accelerated the development of COVID-19 technologies in order to have global access to COVID-19 diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccines.
